During BiS SiGMA South America 2026 in São Paulo, Carla Dualib, Business Development Manager (Latin America) at SOFTSWISS, shared her thoughts on how quickly Brazil’s iGaming market is changing. In a conversation with Astghik Safaryan, they talked about new regulations and what they mean for the industry. Carla, who was also featured in SiGMA Magazine issue 38, discussed how SOFTSWISS is helping shape the future of iGaming in Brazil and across Latin America.

A year of transformative change in Brazil’s iGaming sector

Since Brazil’s regulated iGaming market began, the industry has grown quickly. Carla Dualib pointed out that SOFTSWISS has played a big part in this, with the company seeing a 65% increase in results in Q1 2026 vs Q1 2025. She said, “The market has significantly expanded, and all stakeholders, tech companies, and operators are working towards the same goal. This collaboration is crucial for driving the sector’s success.”

SOFTSWISS has helped its partners adapt to Brazil’s new regulations. The company provides solutions that comply with the latest regulations and promote responsible iGaming.

The impact of the FIFA World Cup on sportsbook growth

With the FIFA World Cup coming up, interest in sports betting in Brazil is expected to grow. Carla is excited about what the event could mean, especially for bringing in new players. She said, “Football is more than just a sport in Brazil; it’s a passion. The World Cup presents an opportunity to introduce new players to betting, and SOFTSWISS is prepared to handle the increased demand.”

The World Cup will likely attract many new players, including those betting for the first time. Carla added, “It’s not just about attracting new players but ensuring we have the technology and infrastructure to deliver them the best experience and retain them long term.”

SOFTSWISS and ANJL: A commitment to responsible gaming

SOFTSWISS recently partnered with ANJL, showing its commitment to responsible gaming. As the first tech provider to join the association, SOFTSWISS is following top industry standards. Carla highlighted why this matters, saying, “Being the first tech company to join such a responsible association reflects our core values. We are working closely with regulators to ensure our platform promotes safe and sustainable gaming practices.”

This partnership helps SOFTSWISS focus even more on responsible gaming, which is central to its work as the iGaming market grows in Latin America.

BiS SiGMA South America: A catalyst for growth

The BiS SiGMA South America 2026 event gave SOFTSWISS the opportunity to highlight its achievements and expand its presence in the region. Carla talked about why the event matters, saying, “This event is one of the most important in the region, bringing together the brightest minds in iGaming. It’s a great opportunity for us as for the main partner of the event to showcase our achievements and demonstrate our commitment to responsible gaming and regulatory compliance.”

Looking back at SOFTSWISS’s growth over the past three years, Carla pointed out how much things have changed. She said, “When I first joined, the environment was very different. Today, we’ve seen tremendous progress, and I am excited about the future of SOFTSWISS and the iGaming sector in Brazil and Latin America.”

Looking ahead

As Brazil’s iGaming market changes, SOFTSWISS is leading the way with new ideas and progress. The company’s focus on responsible gaming, advanced technology, and partnerships keeps it as a main player in Latin America’s growing market. Carla summed up, “We’re all part of a community working towards the same purpose.”
