Hann Philippines is set to move ahead with its flagship integrated resort development after signing a new registration agreement with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), allowing the company to operate tourism-related facilities at Hann Reserve in New Clark City.
According to the agreement, Hann Philippines has been registered as a PEZA ecozone domestic market enterprise for tourism, giving it the authority to develop and operate a range of tourism facilities within the mixed-use project.
According to PEZA, the approved facilities include clubhouses, food and beverage outlets, and championship golf courses affiliated with the Professional Golfers’ Association of America (PGA).
The registration agreement was signed by PEZA Director General Tereso Panga and Hann Philippines Vice President for Finance, Corporate Secretary and Treasurer Mitchell Estacio. Backed by an initial investment of PHP10 billion ($162.5 million), the development is expected to generate more than 200 direct jobs during its early stages while creating additional business opportunities for suppliers and service providers across Central Luzon.
Use for luxury casino tourism
PEZA said the project demonstrates continued investor confidence in the country’s economic zones and is expected to contribute to the long-term growth of New Clark City as both a tourism and investment destination.
While Hann Reserve is being positioned as a luxury mixed-use development, casino tourism is expected to become one of its key attractions. The master plan includes a premium casino alongside luxury hotels, villas, commercial facilities and residential developments, creating an integrated destination designed to encourage visitors to stay longer rather than simply make day trips.
The project reflects a broader trend across Asia, where integrated resorts are increasingly combining casinos with golf, hospitality, entertainment and lifestyle attractions to appeal to a wider range of travellers. Instead of relying solely on gaming revenue, operators are investing heavily in non-gaming amenities that attract families, international tourists, business travellers and luxury leisure visitors.
Golf is expected to play a particularly important role in Hann Reserve’s tourism strategy. The development will feature three 18-hole championship golf courses, complementing the planned casino and hotel offerings. By combining internationally recognised golf facilities with luxury accommodation and gaming, Hann Philippines aims to position the resort as a premium destination for both domestic and overseas visitors.
15 minutes away from Clark Resort
The location also supports that ambition. Hann Reserve is located about 15 minutes from the company’s existing Hann Casino Resort in the Clark Freeport Zone and approximately two hours from Manila, giving visitors access to both established tourism infrastructure and New Clark City’s ongoing developments.
Once completed, Hann Reserve will include luxury hotels, exclusive villas, a premium casino, a commercial centre, residential communities and an international school, making it one of the country’s largest integrated tourism projects.
For the Philippine tourism sector, PEZA registration provides another boost to efforts to attract long-term private investment in large-scale leisure developments. As construction progresses, Hann Reserve is expected to strengthen Central Luzon’s position in the country’s growing casino tourism market while supporting employment, local businesses and broader regional economic activity.
