SiGMA’s long-term commitment to fostering diversity and empowering professionals culminated in the first ever Women in Gaming Africa conference in conjunction with the most recent SiGMA Africa summit, in partnership with the SiGMA Foundation. Community engagement
The SiGMA Foundation maintains one of its strongest global presences in Africa, championing initiatives that uplift communities. Across Ethiopia and Uganda, the Foundation continues to expand its humanitarian footprint. In Bonga, a Community Centre for Women is currently in development and in Uganda, collaboration with the Tangu Utoto Foundation is helping transform a makeshift kindergarten into a safe, supportive learning environment for up to 300 children. In Ethiopia, the Women Empowerment Project supports over 500 women every year, offering vocational training in IT, sewing, cookery and hairdressing. Nearby, the Foundation’s 3-in-1 School provides education to 1,000 students annually. As part of SiGMA Africa, a charity auction will directly support these ongoing projects, ensuring that industry growth is matched with meaningful social impact.
