Nevada’s gaming sector recorded a rise in March 2026, with total gaming win reaching $1.43 billion. According to the latest data from the state’s gaming regulator, the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB), the figure marks an 11.78 per cent increase compared to the same period last year, when gaming win stood at $1.3 billion.
For the fiscal year to date, covering 1 July 2025 to 31 March 2026, total gaming win climbed to $12 billion, up 1.98 per cent year-on-year.
Clark County, which accounts for the majority of Nevada’s gaming activity, generated $1.25 billion in March revenue, a 12.73 per cent increase from the previous year. Within the county, the Las Vegas Strip remained the primary driver, posting $780 million in gaming win, up 14.43 per cent.
Meanwhile, Downtown Las Vegas delivered the strongest percentage growth among major markets. Data shows the gaming win in the area rises 20.78 per cent to $103 million. Other local markets also contributed to the overall uplift. According to the data, the Boulder Strip increased 14.73 per cent to $98.8 million, North Las Vegas remained broadly flat with a marginal 0.12 per cent rise, and Laughlin posted a modest 1.10 per cent gain.
Mesquite’s revenue is up 1.44 per cent for the month and a stronger 7.84 per cent increase for the fiscal year to date. The balance of Clark County also grew 7.27 per cent, reflecting broader-based gains beyond the main tourist corridors.
Northern Nevada, led by Washoe County, where gaming win rose 7.34 per cent to $87.8 million. Reno generated $62 million, up 7.50 per cent, while Sparks outperformed with an 8.69 per cent increase.
However, North Lake Tahoe continued to lag, with revenue declining 9.71 per cent in March and down 8.91 per cent for the fiscal year to date. In contrast, South Lake Tahoe posted a strong rebound, climbing 19.69 per cent to $17.6 million.
Elsewhere, Elko County reported a 4.78 per cent decline in monthly revenue, driven largely by an 8.81 per cent drop in Wendover. The Carson Valley Area recorded moderate growth of 5.32 per cent, while smaller markets grouped under “other” rose 5.48 per cent.
Nevada tax collections rise alongside gaming revenues
Nevada’s percentage fee collections also increased. According to NGCB, the state collected $93 million in April 2026. The figure represents a 17.24 per cent increase.
For the fiscal year to date, total collections reached $868.8 million, up 3.04 per cent from $843 million in the prior year period. Monthly results have remained mixed throughout the fiscal cycle, alternating between growth and contraction.
Earlier in the fiscal year, collections surged by as much as 33.80 per cent between August and September, while other months, including January and February, recorded declines. The March-to-April period now stands out as one of the stronger recent gains.
Compared with February’s steady but limited growth, March’s results point to a more robust rebound, particularly in high-traffic destinations.
