Ataur Rosul Abeer, Sales Supervisor at Slotegrater, sat down in the SiGMA Media Lounge during SiGMA Euro-Med 2025 to share his perspective on the evolving iGaming landscape. From sales strategies to omnichannel solutions, he offers insights into how operators are adapting to meet diverse player demands.

The evolution of sales in iGaming

When asked how sales have changed over the past few years, Ataur highlighted the growing complexity of operator needs. “Previously, operators would ask for basic things, a platform, a game, simple standard solutions,” he explained. “But as the industry has become more regulated, they now want tailored, personalised solutions that comply with regulations.”

He noted that staying ahead requires a deep understanding of both market demands and regulatory requirements. “You need to follow up. You need to know what you are doing and whether your platform meets all criteria,” Ataur said.

Meeting diverse player demands

Content aggregation has become a critical focus for operators striving to offer varied and engaging gaming experiences. As players’ tastes and expectations continue to diversify across regions, operators face the dual challenge of integrating multiple game types while maintaining a high-quality, seamless experience.

Ataur emphasised the complexity: “Players have different demands depending on the market. One integration can give you everything, slots, live games, crash games but maintaining it and providing a seamless experience is the real challenge,” he said.

For operators, success goes beyond simply connecting multiple providers. Each integration must be carefully managed to ensure reliability, performance and a consistent user experience. It’s a balancing act between variety and quality, where even small technical issues can disrupt engagement and player satisfaction.

Omnichannel solutions

Omnichannel strategies are reshaping how players interact with platforms. Ataur explained how this approach works across devices, “In Africa, for example, many players are mobile-first. A player can place bets on a phone and then continue on desktop using the same account. It gives players a sense of security and trust,” he said.

He added that the experience must be tailored for each platform. “Desktop can show multiple promotions and content, but on mobile, you need to simplify to keep the player engaged,” Ataur noted.

Market localisation

With competition intensifying, operators must plan carefully. Ataur emphasised strategy and market understanding, “New operators often want to go global immediately, but you need to start small, one or two countries and understand player behaviour and market demands,” he said.

Localisation is key. For instance, in Africa, faster, lighter games are preferred due to connectivity limitations, while in Asia, live games and traditional card games remain popular. “Operators need to understand the market before launching. It’s about adapting to the audience, not forcing a one-size-fits-all solution,” Ataur explained.

The iGaming industry continues to evolve rapidly and operators who focus on tailored solutions, robust content aggregation and omnichannel engagement are best positioned to meet player expectations and drive sustainable growth.
