The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has announced the return of 20 games for the Esports World Cup 2026 (EWC 2026), scheduled from 6 July to 23 August 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event will include 24 titles in total, with four yet to be announced. The event will feature competitive games and professional players from around the world.
Overview of Esports World Cup
The Esports World Cup (EWC) began in 2024, replacing the Gamers8 tournament. Over two years, it expanded to include various gaming genres and international competitions. Riyadh has become a key location for hosting esports events due to its investment in digital infrastructure and entertainment.
The third season follows EWC 2025, which included 2,000 players and 200 clubs from 100 countries in 25 tournaments across 24 games. The event had a prize pool of over $70 million, was broadcast in 140 countries, attracted 750 million online viewers, and hosted 3 million visitors.

EWC 2026 includes partnerships with Activision Blizzard, Capcom, Chess.com, Electronic Arts, Garena, Krafton, Moonton, Riot Games, SNK, Smilegate, Tencent, Ubisoft, and Valve. These publishers are part of multi-year agreements with the Esports World Cup Foundation.
