Betsson Sport launches its 2026 campaign: Totti, Baggio and Cannavaro lead fans through the “Museum of Passion”
Betsson Sport enters 2026 with a new communication campaign designed to strengthen the brand’s identity, positioning and long-term mission within the sports and digital landscape. Rather than a simple promotional relaunch, the initiative reflects a clear determination to continue along an established path built on the belief that every sporting discipline deserves attention, visibility and media support. The digital infotainment platform is therefore reaffirming a forward-looking strategy aimed at promoting sport in all its forms, not only those competitions that traditionally dominate the mainstream spotlight.
At the heart of this vision remains the Betsson Sport Club, a network conceived as an inclusive ecosystem created to support sporting organisations at every level. The project was developed to provide exposure and tools, particularly for clubs operating outside the national limelight, yet playing a crucial role in nurturing the wider sporting movement. The initiative represents one of the core pillars of the brand’s presence in the sports sector, positioning itself as both a promotional hub and a support platform.
From social commitment to sporting visibility
The new campaign builds on a track record already marked by initiatives with strong social and cultural value. Among them is last November’s project with Italian volleyball player Beatrice Parrocchiale, which used the competitive sports narrative to raise awareness of violence against women. That initiative demonstrated Betsson Sport’s intention to connect its communication strategy not only to athletic performance but also to broader themes of social responsibility.
It is on this foundation of continuity and engagement that the 2026 campaign takes shape, aiming to reinforce the brand’s role as a promoter of inclusion, shared values and fair play, while maintaining a clear focus on the continued development of its sporting network.
Three Italian football legends as brand ambassadors
To support this new phase, Betsson Sport has enlisted three iconic figures from Italian football: Francesco Totti, Roberto Baggio and Fabio Cannavaro. The trio have been appointed as ambassadors not within a hierarchy, but as a unified team symbolising sporting passion in its many forms. Their collective experience and credibility are intended to help communicate the idea of sport as a universal language capable of connecting generations and communities.
Stefano Tino, Managing Director Southern Europe at Betsson Group, explained that the company wanted to begin the new season with figures able to authentically represent the brand’s mission and values. According to Tino, the sporting legacy of the three players offers a powerful platform to highlight the full range of disciplines represented within the Club and to promote a sporting culture grounded in passion, inclusion, teamwork and respect.
The 2026 advert and the journey through the “Museum of Passion”
The narrative centrepiece of the campaign is the new television advert, conceived as an immersive experience in which the three ambassadors move beyond their status as static icons to become active guides. In the film, Totti, Baggio and Cannavaro accompany viewers on a symbolic journey through the so-called “Museum of Passion”, a storytelling space representing the wider Betsson Sport universe.
As the journey unfolds, different rooms reveal the many dimensions of the Betsson Sport Club: from dynamic basketball action to dedicated areas for rugby and tennis, as well as football itself. The visual narrative underlines that the project is far more than a digital platform; it is a living ecosystem committed to supporting multiple sporting disciplines with equal dedication.
The closing sequence marks the symbolic transition from museum to playing field, encapsulating the brand’s mission: bringing local clubs and less visible sporting realities onto a broader national stage, offering them opportunities for recognition and growth. The message is unmistakable – wherever sport exists, passion deserves the chance to shine, regardless of level or category.
The ambassador’s perspective: teamwork, sacrifice and passion
Statements from the three ambassadors further reinforce the campaign’s positioning. Francesco Totti stressed that his career taught him that individual talent alone is never enough without the backing of a team capable of nurturing it. For the former Roma captain, joining the initiative means helping support clubs with untapped potential by giving them greater exposure and opportunity.
Fabio Cannavaro highlighted the importance of daily commitment away from the cameras, noting that sporting triumphs are often built on unseen sacrifice. In his view, the true strength of Italian sport lies in provincial clubs and smaller organisations, which deserve broader media recognition.
Roberto Baggio emphasised the emotional dimension of sport, describing passion as a universal language capable of linking a World Cup winner with a youngster kicking a ball against a wall. From his perspective, supporting organisations driven by pure sporting spirit is essential to safeguarding the future of the disciplines people love.
Betsson Sport Club: an open network throughout 2026
The 2026 strategy is not focused on pursuing new traditional sponsorship deals, but rather on strengthening an already established presence through the Betsson Sport Club. The network continues to present itself as an open platform, accessible to any team wishing to apply via a straightforward online form. Throughout the year, the partnership with the three ambassadors will translate into a schedule of exclusive content, original interviews and dedicated challenges, all designed to deepen engagement with the sporting community and further develop the brand’s narrative. With this latest campaign, Betsson Sport once again underlines its strategic philosophy: in sport, as in life, it is passion that ultimately drives connection, creates value and gives every team – regardless of size – the opportunity to step into the spotlight.
