DigiPlus Interactive Corp., the Philippine digital entertainment company, has announced it will launch operations in Brazil on 22 September. The move marks DigiPlus’ first expansion outside Southeast Asia and reflects its ambition to become a global player in regulated iGaming markets.

We are incredibly excited to launch our first brand in Brazil this September,” Eusebio Tanco, DigiPlus Chairman, said. “Our entry into this dynamic market is the culmination of a global-first mindset, strong collaboration between our teams, and an unwavering commitment to responsible gaming operations. We are not just bringing a platform to Brazil; we are bringing a new standard of safe digital entertainment.”

The company confirmed that GamePlus will serve as its initial brand for the soft launch in the South American country.

Free-to-play and real-money formats to be offered

DigiPlus said that GamePlus will be introduced with a catalogue of more than 150 of Brazil’s most popular titles, available in both free-to-play and real-money formats. The company added that the offering will later expand to include exclusive content developed around Brazilian folklore, casual games, and sports.

GamePlus is designed to deliver simple, fun entertainment to the Brazilian market, filling a key strategic vertical for DigiPlus,” Graham Tidey, DigiPlus Brazil Country Manager, said. “GamePlus will launch with a catalogue featuring over 150 of Brazil’s top games — both in free-to-play and real-money versions — and will soon add exclusive content inspired by local folklore, casual games, and sports, ensuring a culturally resonant experience.”

The company also said the expansion reflects its long-term approach to the market, with BingoPlus slated as the next brand to debut in Brazil in 2026.

Commitment to local talent and compliance

Tanco emphasised DigiPlus’ focus on building a strong team in Brazil and tailoring its services to local audiences. “Our teams have worked diligently to create a platform that is not only robust and secure but also culturally resonant. We are committed to fostering a strong local talent base and ensuring our offerings are perfectly tailored for Brazilian players, from our exclusive games to our player protection measures,” he said.

The Brazilian unit is led by Tidey, an industry veteran who was appointed country manager earlier this year. The on-ground team will oversee compliance with Brazil’s recently formalised gaming regulations, which require strict adherence to anti-money laundering rules, IT security, and player protection standards.

Expansion into a growing market

The online gambling sector in Brazil has become one of the fastest-growing in Latin America following the legalisation of online gambling and sports betting. The government launched its regulated market on 1 January 2025, granting licences to 68 operators, including DigiPlus Brazil Interactive LTDA. In the first half of 2025, the market generated $3.2 billion in gross gaming revenue.

With a population of over 200 million and internet penetration approaching 90 percent, the South American country presents opportunities for international gaming operators to establish a strong presence. The Philippine-grown company joins licensed global players such as bet365, Stake.com, and Betfair, along with domestic firms competing in the market. DigiPlus’ portfolio in the Philippines already includes leading entertainment platforms such as BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, SpinPlus, and GameZone.
