VIP delegates, including several prominent government officials, were given an official tour of SiGMA South Asia, a three-day conference and expo for the gaming and tech sectors taking place at Colombo’s Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams. SiGMA’s CEO Emily Micallef and CFO Clive Terribile were in attendance. This marks SiGMA’s first foray into South Asian markets, with Sri Lanka’s financial hub hosting the inaugural edition.

The event is endorsed by the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau and the Department of Government Information.

Among the tour participants was Tony Macmillan, CEO of Bally’s Casino, who was honoured yesterday evening at the Hall of Game, an accolade announced during the SiGMA South Asia Awards.

Also in attendance were H.E. Rueben Guaci, High Commissioner of Malta, and the Hon. Sunil Handunneththi, Minister of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development. Both officials took part in the summit’s opening ceremony earlier in the day, joining an official ribbon-cutting event, and H.E. Hanif Yusoof, Governor of Western Province, Sri Lanka and Special Envoy to Drive Foreign Investment.

The event continues today with a full day of expo sessions, conferences, and networking activities, including a stand-up reception and end-of-event celebration. A special Malta Day event will also take place to commemorate Malta’s upcoming Republic Day, hosted by H.E. Rueben Guaci, the Maltese High Commissioner for Sri Lanka, India, and Bangladesh, and Ambassador to Nepal, in association with SiGMA.
