All the focus right now is on the 2026 World Cup, and rightly so, as it is being projected to be the single largest sporting event in history in many ways, including by the betting volume linked with the event.

That said, one of the latest iGaming industry developments covered in this week’s Industry Reels roundup has to do with a completely different sport’s top competition, as a sportsbook has expanded its tennis offering ahead of the 2026 Wimbledon Championships set to begin on 29 June.

Product launches and market entries

BETBY announces expanded tennis offering ahead of Wimbledon Championships

Sportsbook provider BETBY announced that it is strengthening its tennis offering ahead of Wimbledon, as it said that it is launching a new version of its eTennis title.

The upgraded release, it said, will be complemented by a “comprehensive Wimbledon betting package, including deep market coverage, creative specials, prediction markets, and the upcoming introduction of BETBY’s new Player Cards feature”.

Speaking further on the new eTennis experience, BETBY said that it has been developed to bring operators “a faster, deeper, and more engaging virtual tennis product at one of the most important moments in the global tennis calendar”.

It added that the new experience features both men’s and women’s tournaments across major events such as the Australian Open, Roland-Garros, Wimbledon, and the US Open, “while delivering 8,000 matches per month to help operators extend engagement beyond the live sporting schedule”.

With regard to its Wimbledon offering, BETBY said that the package includes over 50 traditional markets for every match of the tournament. It also said that it will introduce a set of specials designed to increase engagement and differentiate the betting experience “for selected top matches”.

“Further strengthening the tournament package, BETBY will also offer Wimbledon prediction markets, enabling users to engage with long-term tournament narratives and player-specific outcomes in a simple and intuitive format. These markets are designed to create additional touchpoints before and during the event, supporting greater interaction with the tournament beyond individual match betting,” the sportsbook operator stated.
