Lotteria Italia 2025: tickets, prizes, and official rules - the new edition kicks off with Affari Tuoi
With the publication of the official directive from the Italian Customs and Monopolies Agency (ADM), the Lotteria Italia 2025 officially begins. This historic prize competition, a long-standing tradition of the festive season, once again promises suspense, entertainment, and multimillion-dollar jackpots. As in previous editions, the lottery will be paired with the popular RAI TV show Affari Tuoi. Tickets will be available from 1 September 2025 until 6 January 2026, when the grand final draw will take place.
Ticket price and formats
The price of each ticket remains set at €5, confirming the accessibility that has always been part of the Lotteria Italia’s identity. There will be twelve different graphic designs, with tickets available in both paper and digital formats, ensuring participation from a broad audience.
An initial 11 million tickets have been printed for this edition. Each ticket allows entry into the final prize draw as well as daily and special draws, thanks to a unique 10-digit code or QR code attached to every ticket.
Ticket distribution
Printed tickets will be distributed through authorised retailers until 18 December 2025, with replenishments allowed up until the day of the final draw. Ticket sales will officially close at 8:30 p.m. on 6 January 2026.
Meanwhile, digital tickets will be available online starting 1 September 2025, with sales ending at 8:00 a.m. on 5 January 2026. Purchases will be possible only through authorised online gaming platforms, accessible to registered account holders.
Daily prizes and participation rules
One of the most appealing features of the Lotteria Italia is the chance to win not only on Epiphany night, but also throughout the months leading up to it.
From 22 September to 9 December 2025, every Monday (or Tuesday if coinciding with public holidays), the lottery’s Supervisory Commission will draw six codes from those submitted via telephone, SMS, the official website, or the My Lotteries app. Each winning code will correspond to a prize of €10,000, with the winners announced during Affari Tuoi.
Additionally, a special series of draws will be held in December, with six extra prizes worth €20,000 each to be awarded in the run-up to Christmas.
The €300,000 special prize
Another highlight of the 2025 edition is the allocation of a special prize worth €300,000. This will be drawn on the evening of 6 January 2026, just before the final Affari Tuoi episode linked to the lottery, and broadcast live on Rai 1.
If the selected ticket is unsold, the draw will be repeated to ensure the prize is awarded.
Final draw: first prize worth €5 million
As always, the most anticipated moment will be the final draw. The Committee for Deferred Lottery Draw Operations will oversee the process, establishing the total prize pool after ticket sales are finalised.
There will be five first-category prizes, with the top prize worth an impressive €5 million. The draw will take place in Rome, at the ADM’s National Lottery Hall, on the evening of 6 January 2026, starting from 9:00 p.m.
Adding to the suspense, the winning tickets will be linked anonymously to five sealed boxes, each marked with a symbol. These boxes will then be featured in the Affari Tuoi TV show, where five celebrity guests will compete in a game about Italian regional culture and traditions. The ranking achieved by the contestants will determine which box corresponds to which prize, creating a unique blend of game show entertainment and lottery excitement.
Claiming and validating prizes
Winning tickets will be officially published in the ADM’s bulletin of results, available on the agency’s website. Ticket holders will then have 180 days from publication to claim their prizes.
Claims must be made through Lotterie Nazionali S.r.l. or through designated bank branches, by presenting the original ticket (or digital receipt for online purchases), along with a valid ID and tax code. Payment will only be made once the authenticity of the winning ticket has been verified.
Promotion and television partnership
As tradition dictates, the Lotteria Italia will be closely tied to the popular RAI 1 programme Affari Tuoi. During its daily broadcasts, not only will the daily prize draws be announced, but promotional content and lottery updates will also be aired to maintain audience engagement.
In a special initiative, one contestant in possession of the €5-valued box during the game show will also be awarded a Lotteria Italia ticket, further cementing the link between the competition and the TV entertainment format.
A tradition renewed
The Lotteria Italia remains one of the most anticipated fixtures in Italy’s cultural and gaming calendar. More than just a prize competition, it is a shared national ritual, blending television entertainment, festive atmosphere, and the eternal allure of luck.
With the €5 million top prize, daily prizes of €10,000, extra €20,000 Christmas prizes, and the special €300,000 award, the 2025 edition stands out as one of the most rewarding in recent years.
All eyes are now on 6 January 2026, when, during the Epiphany celebrations, Italy will discover the new millionaire winners of the Lotteria Italia 2025.
