AGTech Holdings reported a strong increase in revenue for the financial year ended 31 March 2026, with growth driven by its banking and digital payment operations, despite weaker performance from its lottery business.

According to the company’s final results announcement released on 15 June 2026, group revenue rose 23.7 per cent year-on-year to approximately HK$760.5 million (US$97.1 million), compared with HK$615.0 million (US$78.5 million) in the previous financial year.

The improved performance was mainly supported by the continued expansion of its full-scale banking business and growth in digital payment services in Macau.

Banking business delivers strongest growth

AGTech’s full-scale banking segment recorded the largest increase in revenue during the year. Revenue from the division rose by approximately HK$157.7 million (US$20.1 million) to HK$225.5 million (US$28.8 million).

The company attributed the increase largely to the full-year consolidation of Ant Bank (Macao) Limited, compared with around seven months of contribution in the previous financial year. Growth in the bank’s customer base and deposit levels also supported the result.

The banking division has become an increasingly important contributor to AGTech’s overall revenue mix as the group continues to diversify beyond its traditional lottery operations.

Digital payments benefit from Macau tourism recovery

Revenue from AGTech’s digital payment and related businesses increased by approximately HK$16.6 million (US$2.1 million) to HK$323.8 million (US$41.4 million).

The company said the growth was driven by higher transaction payment volumes, supported by rising inbound tourism in Macau and local consumption promotion campaigns.

The segment operates through Macau Pass, AGTech’s indirect wholly-owned subsidiary and one of Macau’s leading digital payment providers. Macau Pass offers a range of services including the mCard contactless payment card and the MPay electronic wallet platform.

The continued recovery of visitor arrivals and consumer spending in Macau contributed to increased usage of the company’s payment services during the reporting period.

Lottery revenue declines

While banking and payment operations expanded, AGTech’s lottery business recorded lower revenue during the year.

Lottery segment revenue fell by approximately HK$28.7 million (US$3.7 million) to HK$211.2 million (US$27.0 million).

The decline was mainly linked to a reduction in lottery hardware sales. Revenue from hardware sales dropped by approximately HK$35.5 million (US$4.5 million) as fewer hardware tenders were awarded and delivered during the year.

The company reported that the decrease was partly offset by growth in its offline lottery distribution services, which generated an additional HK$6.8 million (US$868,000) in revenue compared with the previous year.

Despite the decline, the lottery business remained a significant part of AGTech’s operations.

Annual loss narrows

AGTech also reported an improvement in profitability, narrowing its net loss for the year.

The group’s annual loss decreased to approximately HK$54.2 million (US$6.9 million), compared with a loss of HK$98.6 million (US$12.6 million) in the previous financial year.

The reduction in losses came as revenue growth from banking and digital payment services helped offset weakness in the lottery segment.

The board of directors did not recommend the payment of a final dividend for the financial year ended 31 March 2026.
