Novomatic has confirmed its leading role in Austria’s gaming industry, a market in which brand value and technological strength are becoming increasingly central. The result reinforces the group’s image as one of the most recognisable names in iGaming and in technologies applied to the regulated gaming sector.

Novomatic defended its second-place position in the 23rd edition of the Austrian Brand Value Study, conducted by the European Brand Institute (EBI). The group therefore remains Austria’s second most valuable corporate brand, behind Red Bull, for the seventh consecutive year.

According to the study, the value of the Novomatic brand has reached 3.938 billion euros, representing a 2.0 per cent increase on the previous year. This figure confirms the strength of the brand and the company’s ability to maintain a leading position in a sector where technology, reputation and international presence are increasingly decisive factors.

Novomatic central to gaming technology

This result is particularly significant as Novomatic is one of the world’s leading groups in the gaming technology sector. The company operates both as a manufacturer and an operator, with an international presence spanning around 50 countries and exporting its products to over 130 markets.

The group is active across several segments of the gaming industry, including land-based gaming products, online, mobile, and social gaming solutions, systems, lotteries, and betting. This omni-channel scale makes Novomatic a relevant case for understanding how the regulated gaming industry is evolving, with increasing links between physical and digital channels.

For readers interested in iGaming, the brand value figure is therefore not only corporate news. It is also an indicator of an operator’s industrial strength that continues to invest in innovation, global presence, and the development of technological solutions for the regulated market.

Sustainable Brand Ranking

Novomatic also maintained a strong result in the European Brand Institute’s Sustainable Brand Ranking, where it remains in second place. This is an increasingly important area for the gaming sector, where corporate reputation, compliance, and social responsibility carry greater weight.

The term Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), refers to a company’s commitment to the environment, social responsibility and the quality of its governance. In the regulated gambling sector, these elements are particularly sensitive as they relate to issues such as transparency, internal controls, responsible business management and relations with authorised markets.

Recognition in the Sustainable Brand Ranking therefore strengthens Novomatic’s overall positioning, with the group assessed not only for the economic strength of its brand but also for its progress on sustainability and corporate responsibility.

EBI study: 180 companies analysed

The Austrian Brand Value Study is conducted annually by the EBI. For the 2026 ranking, 180 companies across 16 sectors were analysed, with the assessment conducted in accordance with the international standards ISO 10668 and ISO 20671.

Novomatic’s confirmation in second place, both for brand value and in the sustainable ranking, consolidates the group’s image as one of Austria’s most internationally influential companies. For the iGaming and gaming technology markets, this recognition confirms Austria’s role as one of the most relevant hubs in the gaming industry.
