Alejandro H. Tengco, Chairman and CEO of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, will deliver the keynote address during the opening ceremony of the SiGMA Asia Summit 2026 on 02 June 2026, at the SMX Convention Center in Manila.
As head of PAGCOR, Tengco has provided the strategic direction for major changes throughout all areas of the growing Filipino gaming sector, which include: continuing to strengthen regulation, improving compliance with current legislation, supporting sustainable growth in both terrestrial and online venues, and creating a sustainable position for the Philippines as a key geographic center for gaming and technology companies in Asia.
The opening ceremony will also feature remarks from Maria Rachel Jimenez Arenas, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Philippines, alongside Eman Pulis, Founder of SiGMA, who will welcome delegates attending the event.
The SiGMA Asia Summit brings together global operators, regulators, affiliates, suppliers, startups, and investors to provide sector leaders with insight into the Asian sports gaming and new technology spaces.
This year’s summit in Manila is expected to attract over 16 thousand delegates through a packed programme of conferences, exhibitions, networking events, startup pitches, and awards ceremonies. The opening keynote from Tengco is set to serve as one of the headline moments, offering delegates direct insight from the regulator overseeing one of the region’s most closely watched gaming markets.
With the Philippines continuing to position itself as a leading gaming jurisdiction in Asia, Tengco’s participation further reinforces the country’s central role in shaping regional conversations around regulation, innovation, and long-term industry growth.
