Partnership between BiS SiGMA, ANALOME, AJP strengthens institutional integration in Brazilian iGaming
BiS SiGMA, ANALOME, and AJP join forces for 3rd National Congress of Municipal Lotteries
A new partnership announced this week between BiS SiGMA South America, the National Association of Municipal Lotteries (ANALOME) and the Brazilian Association for Positive Gaming (AJP) reinforces the consolidation of a collaborative and institutional ecosystem within Brazil’s regulated betting sector.
The alliance aims to boost and strengthen the Brazilian public lotteries, promoting responsible investment, good governance practices, and dialogue with public authorities. The group will actively participate in the III National Congress of Municipal Lotteries, takes place on 13 and 14 August in São Paulo. Among the topics scheduled for discussion are taxation, concession processes, integrity, and the sector’s economic sustainability.
More than just an isolated initiative, this partnership continues discussions already raised during BiS SiGMA South America’s 2025 event this April, especially in the panel “The Crucial Role of Associations in Building the Brazilian iGaming Market”, which brought together representatives from leading industry bodies to debate the future of self-regulation, compliance, and institutional coordination.
BiS SiGMA anticipated the movement
During the panel, Ana Bárbara Costa Teixeira, director of Abra Jogo and moderator of the debate, emphasised the importance of the moment Brazil is experiencing in building a solid and participatory regulatory framework:
“We are at a very unique moment in Brazil, building a new regulatory framework. And in any democratic environment, it is very important to have multiple voices and perspectives.”
Her words underscore the role of associations as active agents mediating between the market, government, and civil society, something that the new alliance with ANALOME and AJP now institutionalises even further.
The essential role of associations in the Brazilian iGaming sector
According to Lucas Berrini, lawyer at Abra Jogo, the leadership of these entities is indisputable:
“I can say without fear of being wrong that associations were essential in shaping the regulation as it was finalised, and as it continues to be developed. We had numerous meetings with the regulator, who listened closely to the associations.”
Meanwhile, Natália Noguez, founder of AMIG (Association of Women in the Gaming Industry), highlighted in the panel that the sector cannot be built solely on technical and legal foundations:
“A sector is not made up only of rules and laws. It is made up of people.”
Natália’s perspective directly aligns with the spirit of the National Congress of Municipal Lotteries, which aims to integrate operators, public managers, regulators, and society in building an ethical and participatory culture within the betting and gaming sector.
BiS SiGMA South America: From debate to institutional practice
The participation of the ANJL in the panel also reinforced the historical involvement of associations in Brazil’s earliest regulatory discussions. According to Bernardo Cavalcante Freire, lawyer for the association:
“ANJL brought the first discussions with the regulator to the market. In 2018, it held meetings with deputies and senators so they could better understand how this market works.”
This background shows that the regulation process in Brazil did not emerge through improvisation, but has been carefully matured through coordinated efforts by associations, entities, and companies in the sector — such as BiS SiGMA itself.
A new chapter for 2026
The partnership established between BiS SiGMA, ANALOME, and AJP not only strengthens the event’s presence in Brazil’s institutional agendas but also consolidates the legacy of the 2025 edition, which served as a catalyst for deeper collaboration within the iGaming market.
With the 2026 edition of BiS SiGMA South America already in preparation, initiatives like this confirm that the event goes far beyond business networking: it is now a strategic forum for decisions with regulatory, economic, and social impact in the sector.
