SiGMA South America Awards wraps first day with €24,900 raised at Sao Paulo auction
As part of the SiGMA South America Awards – presented by BetConstruct AI – and taking place this evening at the Tokio Marine Hall in Sao Paulo, a charitable auction saw the iGaming and betting community come together to support global projects being championed by the SiGMA Foundation.
The auction is held throughout the year as part of SiGMA’s regional award ceremonies – a global movement for good that has generated real, measurable impact in communities throughout South America, Asia, and Africa.
Since its inception in 2022, over one and a half million Euro has been raised, a sum that has been transformed into education, healthcare, and community projects. To date, 5 schools across Uganda and Ethiopia currently provide education to over 2,000 young students annually. Additionally, a successful vocational training facility opened for women in the Bonga region of Ethiopia – providing crucial skills that can be channeled into employment opportunities.
Healthcare has also been a priority for the Foundation. In 2024, the G.L.O.W. campaign in Colombia delivered life-changing cleft surgeries to young children and babies, and more recently, in 2025, extensions and renovations to St. Martin de Porres Hospital in the Peruvian Amazon has extended critical support to vulnerable communities. Part of the focus that year also included the inauguration of an Ophthalmic operating theatre in Puerto Barrios and clean water projects for the region.
In the Philippines, a multi-sensory hall provided a safe space for young people to express themselves creatively, through music, art, and theatre.
Meanwhile, here in Sao Paulo, the Foundation, alongside Centurion FC launched a sports school – the Faculdade de Luta – a program which aims to empower young people in Heliópolis through a combination of athletic training, education, and mentorship. The school celebrated its first year anniversary this morning, with a special ceremony attended by the Hon. John Aquilina, Ambassador for Malta to Brasilia.
And the momentum is only growing.
Through 2026 and beyond, auctions like this will fund clean water access in Guatemala, expanding maternal healthcare in Ethiopia and building new classrooms to grow education access. Across Africa, youth centres, sports facilities and vocational hubs will empower the next generation with skills for sustainable change, driven directly by your bids.
Auction 1: Sold for €15,000 to Focus Gaming

The artist: Angela Nikolau is a neo-artist exploring human limits through high-altitude performances on rooftops and towers, turning fear, vulnerability, and risk into visceral visual art. Internationally recognized, she stars in Skywalkers: A Love Story and collaborates with major global brands worldwide.
Auction 2: Sold for €1,000 to Focus Gaming
Recover emerged during a period of stillness, when working from home meant leaving airbrush and spray can behind. The same instincts remained – closer, rougher, more honest – reflecting a moment of recovery and the work that takes shape in the meantime.
The artist: KAMPUS began tagging Lisbon streets as a teen, developing a playful visual language of observation and distortion. Known for his recurring “Sausage” character, he now creates paintings and drawings from memory – transforming everyday moments into strange, humorous, deeply human images.
Auction 3: Sold for €5,000 to First.bet
HER merges large-scale Dot Art with Roman Reznitsky’s pop aesthetic. Using vibrant pointillist dots, the work captures a woman’s gaze – balancing meticulous technique with bold contemporary energy and exploring perception, presence, and visual communication through the artist’s distinctive symbolic language.
The artist: Roman Reznitsky (b. 1978) is an international artist whose work blends graphic design and architectural thinking. Using symbolic motifs like eyes and lips, he creates bold acrylic compositions spanning pop art and minimal black-and-white dot art exploring perception and communication.
Auction 4: Sold for €1,500 to Digitain
The painting captures a moment of inner calm and quiet strength. With balanced emotions and a clear mind, it reflects control and confidence. The work suggests that true power lies not in chaos or force, but in calm focus and self-mastery.
The artist: Gareggin (b. Yerevan, Armenia) blends Renaissance-inspired techniques with surrealism and pop art. Drawing from nature’s textures, his work merges reality and fantasy across paintings, sculptures, and street art—exploring human emotion, imagination, and philosophical themes while constantly experimenting with new forms of expression.
Auction 5: Sold for €1,200 to Blokotech
A striking contemporary composition defined by precision, movement, and vivid color. Fluid lines and strong contrasts create a dynamic interplay of geometry, nature, and energy. The female figure symbolizes strength and balance within a harmonious, atmospheric maritime landscape.
The artist: Paula Paes Leme (b. 1970, Rio de Janeiro) is a Lisbon-based Brazilian visual artist. At Leme Atelier, she explores rhythm, color, and graphic structure across painting and print, blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary experimentation. Her work is in international collections and auctions.
Auction 6: Sold for €1,200 to Matthieu Sahakian (iGaming consultant)
