Former Light & Wonder executive Daryl Bruce has joined Solaire Resorts as Vice President, Gaming Optimisation, bringing more than two decades of experience in casino operations, gaming products and commercial strategy. His appointment adds to a series of senior leadership changes at Bloomberry Resorts Corp as the company looks to strengthen its gaming business amid softer financial performance.
Bruce takes charge of gaming optimisation
Daryl Bruce has joined Solaire Resorts as Vice President, Gaming Optimisation after leaving his role as Director of Product Management Asia at Light & Wonder in June 2026.
Bruce announced the move on LinkedIn, saying the new position combines the key areas he has worked in throughout his career, including gaming product, strategy, optimisation and industry partnerships.
He said he was excited to begin the next chapter of his career in the Philippines and contribute to Solaire’s gaming operations.
His appointment places him in a leadership role focused on improving gaming performance and supporting the company’s strategic initiatives across its casino business.
Brings experience from leading gaming companies
Before joining Solaire Resorts, Bruce spent two years at Light & Wonder, where he managed product strategy for the Asian market from Singapore.
Prior to that, he held several senior operational roles at SkyCity Adelaide in Australia. During his nearly four years with the casino operator, he served as General Manager Gaming, General Manager Electronic Gaming and Casino Food and Beverage, and General Manager Gaming Machines.
Bruce also worked as General Manager, Strategy and Product Management at Wymac Gaming Solutions, where he focused on gaming products and business development.
Earlier in his career, he spent more than eight years with Crown Resorts in a range of commercial and gaming leadership positions. His responsibilities included electronic table games, product management and commercial development, providing experience across both casino operations and gaming technology.
Part of wider leadership changes
Bruce’s arrival is the latest executive appointment at Bloomberry Resorts Corp, the owner of Solaire Resorts.
In recent months, the company appointed former Sands China executive Sean McCreery as Chief Operating Officer of Solaire Resort Entertainment City.
The group has also reshaped its senior management over the past 18 months. Greg Hawkins replaced Tom Arasi as President and Chief Operating Officer, while Cyrus Sherafat stepped down as Executive Vice President and Head of Gaming.
The latest appointments reflect Bloomberry’s continued focus on strengthening its leadership team across key business functions.
Joins during a challenging period
Bruce joins Solaire as Bloomberry works to improve performance following a weaker start to 2026.
The company posted a net loss of PHP125 million, or around $2 million, in the first quarter of the year.
Gross gaming revenue fell 13 per cent year on year to PHP16.8 billion ($ 274.2 million). Revenue at Solaire Resort Entertainment City declined more sharply, dropping 18 per cent to PHP10 billion ($163 million).
Against this backdrop, Bruce’s appointment adds an executive with experience in gaming operations, product management and business strategy as Solaire continues to strengthen its leadership team and focus on its core casino business.
