The Brazilian online betting market has been constantly evolving for many years, long before the sector was regulated. Even so, market data from Blask, a platform specialised in monitoring user behaviour and the performance of iGaming products across different countries, shows that some trends remain very clear. Although online casino games account for a significant share of discussions on social media and specialised industry portals, most attention remains focused on sports betting in Brazil.
According to Blask data, sports betting accounts for 61.13 per cent of all Brazilian interest in online gambling products. Lotteries rank second with 23.47 per cent, while fantasy sports account for 8.92 per cent of the total. Online casino accounts for 3.46 per cent, while online poker represents 3.03 per cent. Together, these five categories account for virtually all attention within the Brazilian market, making it clear that sports betting dominates the other segments. Even so, within the online casino sector, only a handful of games concentrate a large share of the visibility and exposure provided by operators.
This combination helps explain a scenario that often goes unnoticed: the most popular product within casinos does not necessarily represent the main driving force of the market as a whole. See below the chart presented by Blask on the categories that dominate the Brazilian market.

Football remains the industry’s main driver
When analysing the distribution of Brazilian user interest across different online gambling categories, sports betting holds a significant advantage. It accounts for around 61 per cent of all attention measured in the national market. This helps explain why virtually all major operators continue to direct their largest investments towards sport. Club sponsorships, competition naming rights, campaigns featuring former players and media partnerships remain among the main strategies for acquiring users.
Lotteries rank second, representing approximately 23 per cent of Brazilian interest. The result shows that traditional products remain highly relevant even in an increasingly digital and competitive environment.
Fantasy sports ranks third with just under 9 per cent of total interest. Although it still maintains a relevant user base, the category shows signs of slowing down compared to previous years.
Meanwhile, online casino accounts for only around 3.5 per cent of total Brazilian user interest. At first glance, this figure may seem surprising, especially given the significant exposure enjoyed by games such as Fortune Tiger, Fortune Rabbit and Aviator. However, it highlights an important distinction between overall market interest and engagement within betting platforms.
While sports betting serves as the main entry point for millions of users, casino products often play an important role in player retention and monetisation.
A small number of games dominate casino attention
While the Brazilian market is dominated by sports betting, in online casinos, the most notable aspect is the high concentration around a few titles. Among the games with the highest visibility across Brazilian operators, Fortune Rabbit leads the ranking, followed by Fortune Tiger, Aviator, Fortune Dragon and Gates of Olympus Super Scatter.
The presence of three Fortune titles among the top five highlights Pocket Games Soft (PG Soft) ‘s strength in the country. In recent years, the developer has built some of the most recognisable brands in the Brazilian market.
Aviator, developed by Spribe, remains an exception. Despite competing against hundreds of slot titles, the crash game maintains a strong position and remains one of the industry’s most recognisable products. Pragmatic Play is represented by one of the strongest brands in the global industry, Gates of Olympus, which remains among the most visible games in the Brazilian market even after several years of success.
Despite the vast amount of content available across platforms, player attention remains concentrated on a relatively small group of titles.
Distribution also helps explain game leadership
Another important indicator of game performance is game coverage, which measures how many operators offer a specific title. In this regard, Aviator leads the market, appearing across 137 monitored brands. It is followed by Fortune Rabbit, Fortune Tiger, Gates of Olympus Super Scatter and Gates of Olympus 1000.
This broad distribution helps explain why certain games maintain high levels of recognition among users. The greater the presence across different operators, the greater the opportunities for exposure and discovery by new players.
Even so, coverage does not necessarily mean popularity. A game may be available across hundreds of platforms and generate little engagement, while another may be present with fewer operators and still record significantly higher traffic and betting volumes. For this reason, visibility and interest indicators are generally considered more relevant when identifying user behaviour trends.

Sport remains at the centre of Brazilian betting culture
Blask’s figures help explain a characteristic that has accompanied the Brazilian market for decades: Brazilian’s deep connection to sport. Although online betting has evolved and now offers thousands of entertainment options, football remains the primary focus for millions of Brazilians.
The dominance of sports betting is not a coincidence. Brazil has developed one of the strongest football cultures in the world, with competitions taking place throughout most of the year, major regional rivalries and a routine in which sport is part of everyday life. Whether following their favourite club, the Brazilian national team or international competitions, Brazilians maintain a close relationship with football, which naturally extends to their betting habits.
This behaviour is even more evident among male audiences, who have historically represented the largest share of bettors in the country. For many of these users, sports betting serves as an extension of watching a match, adding extra excitement and engagement. Rather than replacing interest in sport, betting complements a passion that existed long before the arrival of online platforms.
This helps explain why, even with the growth of online casinos and the success of titles such as Fortune Rabbit, Fortune Tiger and Aviator, sports betting continues to account for more than 60 per cent of Brazilian attention. Casino games may lead within their own category, but sport remains the industry’s main driver of engagement in the country.
For now, the data suggests that the story of the Brazilian market continues to be written primarily in stadiums rather than casinos. In a country where football forms part of the cultural identity of millions of people, it is difficult for any other category to compete with the strength of that passion.
