Wynn Resorts has officially started an extensive recruitment campaign for its upcoming $3.9 billion (€3.65 billion) integrated resort on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, set to become the Gulf region’s first legal casino when it opens in early 2027.
The Wynn Al Marjan Island resort, which will be the first beachside property in the company’s global portfolio, is also expected to be the tallest building ever developed by Wynn. The company states that the development will create more than 7,500 jobs as it nears completion, with large-scale hiring planned throughout 2026.
Job listing for international outreach
Job listings published on the company’s website and LinkedIn include a wide range of roles requiring knowledge of casino games, from pit managers and dealers to table operations managers, nightlife planners, and loyalty and marketing executives for both domestic and international markets.
Wynn is also recruiting multiple vice presidents of casino marketing, who will be tasked with building a VIP player base across the Middle East and North Africa by forging relationships with high-net-worth individuals, gaming agents, and regional influencers. These executives will manage teams in major cities including Dubai, Riyadh, Doha and Cairo.
Additional vice president positions will target markets in Asia, including China, Singapore, Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia, as well as Europe and the Americas. The company has already acquired an extra 70 acres of land in Ras Al Khaimah, signalling possible future expansion.
First-ever casino resort for the UAE
Gambling is officially prohibited in the United Arab Emirates. However, the Federal Supreme Council has created the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) to oversee licencing and operations. The regulator is chaired by former MGM Resorts chief executive Jim Murren. Furthermore, Wynn Al Marjan has successfully obtained a gaming licence from the GCGRA, the first of its kind in the country.
According to Wynn, the resort could generate as much as $5 billion (€4.2 billion) in annual revenue. The project is being developed in partnership with Marjan and RAK Hospitality Holding, and construction is now at the 45th floor of a planned 70-storey tower, with around 10,000 workers on site each day.
Preparing for 2027 opening
Michael Weaver, chief communications officer at Wynn Resorts, said the company expects to expand its current workforce from around 100 to 330 by the end of this year, and to 300 by late 2025. The primary recruitment phase will begin in September 2026, roughly six months before the scheduled March 2027 opening.
In an earlier statement, Weaver said, “We will be hiring across all areas — from room attendants and bartenders to finance, marketing and IT. It’s like a small city, and we want to ensure all departments are staffed and trained before we open.”
Though the casino will be a central attraction, it will be only one part of a larger experience that includes luxury rooms, 22 restaurants, beach clubs, a marina, nightlife venues, a spa, and a custom-designed entertainment show. Wynn expects strong visitor turnout from the UAE, India, Russia, Europe and Central Asia.
