FIFA appoints Stats Perform, a British sports technology business that gathers comprehensive statistics and extremely quick data, as its first official data distributor for streaming and betting. Exclusive rights to the 2026 World Cup, which will include 48 teams and 104 games, are granted under the multi-year arrangement. Rights to live feeds and lightning-fast data will be provided to regulated bookmaker operators.
Exclusive rights cover key FIFA tournaments
Stats Perform has obtained exclusive rights to distribute official betting data and live video streams (streaming) from various FIFA tournaments. The agreement covers the FIFA World Cup 2026™, with 48 teams and 104 scheduled matches in 2026. It also includes the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil™ 2027 and the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2028.
The deal extends its benefits to future editions, such as the FIFA Women’s Futsal World Cup™ 2029. Likewise, it covers the FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup™ in 2026 and 2028. At the same time, it also incorporates the FIFA U-20 World Cup™ in 2027 and 2029, as well as the FIFA Intercontinental Cup™ up to 2029.
Finally, thousands of matches per season from FIFA member associations’ competitions are added via FIFA+. To sum up, according to its announcement on 12 January 2026, Stats Perform will manage these rights comprehensively, strengthening its position in the global sports data market.
Ultra-fast data and player stats for bookmaker operators
The RunningBall team of Stats Perform will collect and distribute official FIFA betting data at ultra-fast speeds. These data are intended for licensed, regulated sports betting operators for modelling, trading, and settlement. Moreover, they serve real-time uses in betting interfaces during matches.
Likewise, the company’s Opta team will provide official player statistics, insights, and live scores. Full match trackers will also be available exclusively to sportsbooks. Consequently, this offering enhances accuracy in sports betting operations.
Romy Gai, FIFA Chief Business Officer, stated: “We are delighted to partner with Stats Perform, a global leader in sports data. This innovative partnership will create great opportunities to deliver official products for the benefit of the game and its fans.”
Live streams expand the offering for bookmakers
Stats Perform will provide live streams of FIFA matches to clients of licensed or regulated operators in specific territories. This includes exclusive rights for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil™ 2027 and the FIFA World Cup 2026™. Its Bet LiveStreams service will manage these streams, powered by artificial intelligence.
Moreover, these streams form part of Stats Perform’s ongoing sports betting video coverage. The offering already covers Spain’s LaLiga, England’s Football League, the WTA tennis tour, and FIBA basketball. Hence, FIFA joins its current portfolio of sports streams.
Stats Perform’s integrity team will support the FIFA Integrity Unit regarding FIFA+ content from associated federations. This ensures safeguarding against irregularities in the events covered by the agreement. Transparency in the online betting ecosystem is paramount for FIFA.
Carl Mergele, CEO of Stats Perform, highlights the added value for global clients and states, “FIFA competitions represent the pinnacle of the world’s biggest game. Our clients will be delighted we’re able to add FIFA competitions to our Opta and RunningBall official betting data portfolio, and our innovative, AI-enriched Bet LiveStreams service. We share FIFA’s vision to help the magic of the beautiful game be felt more deeply, by more fans, worldwide.”
Redefining standards for official data in sports betting
The agreement allows regulated operators to access FIFA’s ultra-fast data. These live streams comply with the official settlement and trading regulations of betting establishments.
Additionally, the expansion to 104 matches in the FIFA World Cup 2026 increases the volume of available content. Women’s competitions, such as the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil, are gaining greater visibility in sports betting. Consequently, the agreement promotes equality in global coverage.
This partnership appears to benefit fans and operators alike by deepening immersion in world football. Thousands of annual matches from FIFA associations enter the orbit. Rounding up, Stats Perform extends the reach of the “king of sports” through precise data and smooth streams, and as every king needs his queen, precise and fast data emerges as its counterpart, the new sovereigns propelling sports betting.
