PhilWeb Corp. has signed an exclusive partnership with iGaming content provider Pragmatic Play, marking another major move in the company’s strategy to strengthen its business-to-business (B2B) gaming services in the Philippines.

Under the agreement, PhilWeb will become the exclusive provider of Pragmatic Play’s gaming services to licenced gaming operators in the country through its own technology platform.

The company said it will deliver the services using its remote gaming infrastructure and API-enabled integration, allowing licenced operators to offer Pragmatic Play’s portfolio to players, subject to the necessary regulatory approvals and commercial agreements. The rollout is expected during the third quarter of 2026.

PhilWeb believes the partnership will strengthen its position as a technology provider in the country’s regulated gaming market while creating a recurring revenue stream through platform services rather than direct consumer operations.

“This partnership represents an important milestone in PhilWeb’s long-term strategy of expanding its technology-enabled gaming services business,” PhilWeb President Edgar Brian Ng said.

“By collaborating with one of the industry’s leading international gaming services providers, we are positioned to broaden our commercial relationships with licenced operators while creating a scalable and recurring revenue stream through technology-enabled services,” he added.

New content partnership

For the unaware, Pragmatic Play is a popular content provider in the online gaming industry, offering slots, live casino games and other products through a single API. The company is licenced by regulators in Great Britain, Gibraltar and Malta, while its content is already available across many regulated markets worldwide.

According to PhilWeb, Pragmatic Play’s games are already used by many online gaming platforms licenced to operate in the Philippines. The exclusive partnership is therefore expected to reinforce PhilWeb’s existing relationships with operators while helping attract additional clients looking for integrated gaming solutions.

Multiple agreements in recent times

The company also said the agreement could serve as a foundation for future collaborations with other international gaming suppliers as it continues expanding its technology-driven gaming business. Another major development amid these partnerships is that billionaire Lance Gokongwei is joining PhilWeb’s board after making a PHP2 billion ($32.6 million) investment, and that fintech executive Aldous Brigino is joining as a non-executive director.

The latest deal follows a series of strategic moves by PhilWeb over the past year as it shifts its focus towards becoming a larger B2B technology partner for licenced operators. The company recently signed new content partnerships with PT Gaming and NUSTAR and secured a $33 million investment from businessman Lance Gokongwei to support its long-term growth plans.

Earlier this year, Okada Manila also launched OKADA PLAY in collaboration with PhilWeb, further expanding its presence in the Philippine gaming market.

Invested heavily in B2B expansion

Speaking exclusively to SiGMA News during the SiGMA Asia Awards in Manila, Brian Ng said people, innovation and operational expertise remain central to PhilWeb’s expansion strategy.

He noted that the company has invested heavily in experienced teams capable of driving customer acquisition and platform management, adding that talent continues to be one of the business’s biggest competitive advantages. Looking ahead, Ng said PhilWeb intends to continue growing its B2B business after signing several major customers in recent months.

“Our intention really is to continue working in the B2B space,” he told SiGMA News, adding that the company expects more partnerships and commercial opportunities as the business continues to expand.

With the Pragmatic Play agreement now in place, PhilWeb appears to be further strengthening its role as a technology partner for licenced gaming operators as competition within the Philippines’ regulated online gaming market continues to intensify.
