xpate launches automation features to simplify fraud and dispute management for merchants
xpate, the all-in-one payments & banking hub, has launched new fraud and dispute management automation features to help merchants manage risk in real time, minimise losses, and streamline internal processes. The launch comes at a time when companies report losing 7.7% of annual revenue, roughly $530 billion worldwide, to fraud in the past year.
Behind every online transaction lies a web of complexity, and merchants need faster, simpler ways to stay on top of fraud and disputes. xpate’s automation tools give them that control, allowing businesses to detect, act on, and resolve potential fraud and chargebacks directly within the xpate merchant portal, with automated email notifications to ensure merchants are alerted in time to act.
“xpate’s mission is to simplify every part of the payment process, including the moments that require extra protection,” said Mike Shafro, CEO of xpate. “By automating fraud alerts and dispute processes, we’re removing friction and giving merchants back valuable time to focus on growth.”
Real-time alerts put merchants in control of fraud
Fraud notifications are alerts from card schemes or issuers that flag suspicious transactions before they turn into chargebacks. xpate’s system surfaces these alerts directly in the merchant portal, giving businesses the chance to act immediately, for example, by issuing a refund, to avoid penalties and protect dispute ratios. Automated email notifications ensure merchants don’t miss critical updates, allowing them to respond faster and manage fraud more proactively. For larger merchants, this early visibility also makes it easier to block suspicious cardholders across their systems and prevent further fraudulent purchases.
xpate has also introduced a fully integrated dispute workflow within its merchant portal. Merchants can now manage every stage of a dispute in one place, from reviewing new chargebacks and collaboration requests to submitting evidence or accepting liability. The system supports automatic email alerts for new disputes, helping merchants respond within strict timeframes and maintain healthy performance metrics with acquirers and card schemes. Larger merchants can also feed these notifications directly into internal automation processes to ensure faster handling at scale.
“Every minute counts when it comes to collaborations, disputes, and fraud. Automation means our merchants can react in minutes, not days,” said Alex Fedorov, Senior Product Manager at xpate. “Whether they prefer to manage disputes manually or let xpate handle them, they now have full visibility and control.”
The new automation capabilities reflect xpate’s mission to simplify cross-border payments and back-office operations for businesses of all sizes. Smaller merchants benefit from an intuitive interface to manage disputes themselves, while larger enterprises can integrate xpate’s notifications into their own systems to build more efficient and automated workflows.
